If you're looking for a different type of plot & environment, this is it. It's truly like a fairy tale, reminiscent of "Tuck Everlasting." There's no heavy action scenes or explicit sex, just a nice story.

I really enjoy most of AW Exley's books and this one was no exception. She skillfully combines the best of Jane Austen or Charlotte Bronte type heroines and their problems with fantasy and/or steampunk elements. This one reminded me of Jane Eyre's relationship with Rochester. I am currently awaiting the the sequel, Day's Patience.

This was an amazing piece of literature I definitely enjoyed how will develop the characters were and how you fall in love with a heroin and the hero. I cannot wait to read days promise…

Another book/series to love by AW! I am now wanting the next book and keep thinking about where it will take us. I so enjoy everything you put on paper/kindle and hope you keep them coming, thank you!!!

Very beautiful descriptions and atmosphere. The story develops slowly but richly and not always as you might expect. One of the best I have read in a while. Thanks AW Exley for creating another series.

What a great first book of the series, it was hard to put down. I love the use of a gardener and tending the plants, earth and flowers. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Not the "historical gothic romance" Amazon and other reviewers led me to believe this book would be. It is definitely fantasy complete with a fantasy world and mythical characters, including the heroine. I fell asleep during the consummation love scene, I was so uninvested in the characters and the story's utterly fantastic outcome. I will not be reading anything else by this author.

The story was engaging and unique. The book did come to a natural conclusion but left enough questions to be excited for the next book in the series. (I’ve read some trilogies where each book just ends and doesn’t stand on its own.). Looking forward to reading the next book!
